One Last "Hoorah!" Before Summer ☀️ (+ A Very Special Guest)
Wow! Where did the year go?
May marks the final official month of our 2025-26 year. While we will certainly find ways to gather over the summer, I know many of you will be busy traveling and making memories with family. That’s why I’m personally inviting you to our Final All-Sisterhood Meeting of the year.
The Business at Hand: We have some important "housekeeping" to wrap up the year, including:
Board Elections 🗳️
Voting on our new Bylaws (A huge thank you to Lynda Markowitz, Evelyn Utay, Robyn Rose, and Rona Kesselman for their incredible guidance in creating these!)
The Icing on the Cake: 🍰 We are thrilled to welcome our special guest speaker, Lauren New. Lauren is a Certified Nurse Midwife with a deeply rooted background in women’s health and maternal care—and she holds the distinction of being Dallas’ first female Mohel(et)! You won’t want to miss her insight.
A special thank you to Joy Weinstein who has but together this amazing program.
Looking Ahead: I am so excited for next year as we are transitioning to our new bylaws (pending approval). I’m also grateful to be working alongside Robyn Rose and Rona Kesselman, who will be supporting me in my duties as President.
A Moment of Gratitude: Please join me in thanking our departing Board Members-at-Large, Gayle Hill and Kimber Miller, for their wonderful leadership. At the same time, let’s give a warm Sisterhood welcome to our new At-Large members, Donna Leibow and Sandi Bodzin Jordan.
A little bit of Torah:
Wishing all a Chag Shavuot Sameach! Shavuot commemorates the spring harvest and the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai. While there are no rituals associated with Shavuot in the Torah, there are several beautiful and meaningful customs that have developed to help us celebrate Shavuot. These include Tikkun Leil Shavuot (staying up all night to learn Torah), eating dairy foods, decorating the shul with flowers and greenery, and the reading of Megillat Rut. I hope you’ll find a meaningful way to celebrate!
To everyone who has been my support, my listening ear, and has entrusted me to lead this group—thank you.
With gratitude,
Rhonda

Volunteers Needed
Two volunteers are needed on Thursday, May 14, at 6 pm, to help assemble and put out food for the Sisterhood election program at CBT. Also, two people are needed to stay afterwards to do some light washing up.
Knit Night/Ellen is taking a break and will restart Knit Night with a kickoff event early next fiscal year. She has been knitting beanies for an underserved school and has been doing this for awhile and has donated over 100 beanies.
