MONTHLY NEWSLETTER- NOVEMBER 2025
Message from Our Sisterhood President
Thinking back to all that was happening in October, we were filled with the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the solemnity of Yom Kippur, the building and tearing down of the Sukkah and finally dancing with the Torahs on Simchat Torah. We prepared meals, hosted family and so much more. For me it was a bit overwhelming and at the same time feeling blessed to be with my family and friends. Sisterhood concluded the month with our paid-up brunch. There was so much laughter and camaraderie and our charcuteries were filled to the rim! Thank you Vikki Silvis and Lindsey Retan for the beautiful spread and decorations. Thank you Joy Weinstein, our program VP for introducing us to Chef Michelle and all things Charcuterie. And thank you to Lynda Moidel and Leah White as our membership team! We had over 60 participants!!! If you feel you missed the boat and forgot to sign up for membership, there is still time to register. There is still so much more to come.
Just look at what we are doing in November. Be sure to read all about it below!
We are now in the month of Chesvan, the only month in the Jewish calendar where there are no holidays! The full name of the month is Mar Chesvan sometimes translated to bitter month. It is in this month where we hear about Noah and the great flood. When Hashem was so distraught with what he had created that he was willing to destroy it all! My thoughts go to the instrument of water and the power it has. It can sustain us or destroy us. Take this time to reflect on how your innate powers can be used for sustenance and joy until we come together to celebrate the miracle of Chanukah!
