MONTHLY NEWSLETTER- AUGUST 2025
Message from Our Sisterhood President
Dear Friends,
Even though my "school days" are long behind me! This time of year has this undeniable vibe of "getting back to it"! It's like everyone collectively shakes off the summer slowdown. Most folks are back from their getaways, the energy shifts, and it feels like we're all quietly gearing up for the rest of the year. It's almost like a personal reset button for routines, even if you're not packing school lunches. And so, I welcome everyone back to a fun and engaging year of Sisterhood activities.
Our first big program of the year is Sisterhood Shabbat. Vikki Silvis and Kimber Miller are working with Stacey Clark and are putting together a delicious menu. Lisa Miller is working on the service and looking for participants who can do either Hebrew or English readings. Please reach out to Lisa and let her know if you can participate. Last year we started a new tradition of using the Torah Fund theme as our Shabbat theme. This year’s theme is Oseh Shalom, Maker of Peace. During services our Torah Fund honoree will be announced and to top it off, our Intracontinental President, will be giving the D’var. And of course, an Oneg with delicious desserts. An evening not to be missed.
A new feature in the newsletter will be “Get to Know Your Board Members”
Don’t forget to renew your membership!
Please welcome our newest members:
