As we bring our 2024-25 calendar year to a close, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for making Sisterhood a truly warm and welcoming community.
A special thank you goes out to our departing board members who have made such considerable contributions to our team:
Karen Hoffman and Joanie Block as At Large Board Members
Marcia Zidle as Social Action Chair
Your dedication has been invaluable, and we wish you all the best!
Looking Ahead: 2025-26 Vision and Summer Plans
Mark your calendars for our board retreat on June 29th. All board members and SIGs (Special Interest Groups) are strongly encouraged to attend. This will be a fantastic opportunity to set our vision and goals for the 2025-26 year. (There will not be a regular board meeting in June.)
While our summer calendar isn't packed, these months tend to fly by, and we have a full schedule kicking off in August! In the meantime, don't miss our "Girls Night Out" at Carol Taper's house on July 24th. More details about that fun evening will be shared soon.
A Personal Thank You
Finally, and certainly not least, thank you for entrusting me with another year as your President. I am genuinely looking forward to working with this amazing board to continue building our vibrant Sisterhood community.

This saga illuminates a family of Murano glassmakers from wealthy, opulent Venice in 1486 to the present day. As a woman, Orsolo is barred from working with glass, but teaches herself to make beads in secret. We follow Orsolo and her family as they live through creative triumph and heartbreaking loss, from a plague devastating Venice to Continental soldiers stripping its palazzos bare, from the domination of Murano and its maestros to the later transformation of the city of trade into a city of tourists.
Sisterhood selected a new Tikkun Olam/Social Action project to support this year.
The Suitcase Project assists disadvantaged women, children and families impacted by abuse & trafficking in their transition to safer and independent lives.
