April is jam packed with activities! I hope you’ll be able to participate in some, if not all!
The slate for next year is almost complete. However, we need a Membership VP. If you are interested, please contact me and we can talk details. This year we have doubled our membership! One goal for next year is to engage our younger (ish) group of women. Have ideas? Let’s talk!!!
A hearty Mazel Tov to Kimber Miller for being awarded The IntraContinental Region (ICR) Scholarship for this year’s Conference in San Antonio. Anyone else want to join us? May19 – 21 – staying at the Drury Inn & Suites San Antonio Riverwalk. Registration deadline is April 15th.
Are you interested in working in the gift shop a few times a year? Arlene and I will be meeting with those interested on April 28th from 10am-12pm. See details below.
Passover
For many of us, the first night of Passover is all about filling the seder plate with symbolic foods, reading from the Haggadah, drinking wine, eating matzah, and partaking in a festive meal. And as we retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt, we will read with wonder about the many miracles that transpired and recount the story of the Four Children and read the words of our great sages.
And for many of us, we look to pay tribute to the girls and women, past and present, who make such important contributions to our lives and to Judaism as a whole. We do this by including Miriam’s Cup in our seder. Join Sisterhood in designing your own Miriam’s Cup on April 7th. See details below.
As we celebrate our freedom from Egypt may we hope and pray that the hostages be freed from their bondage.
May the Holy One of Blessing break their bonds, deliver them from their distress, and release them swiftly back to the loving embrace of their dear ones. Do all that must be done so that relief, rescue, and long life may be the lot of every one of the soldiers and the civilians who have been taken hostage.
April 7 @ 10:30 - 11:45 AM- Meet us at Prairie Creek Elementary School. Bring your coffee, tea or whatever drink you'll enjoy. Dress comfortably. We will walk across the street to a special place called Discovery Point. We will be sitting on stone so feel free to bring a blanket or pillow if that helps you. If bad weather, we will be in our CBT Learning Center Library. We have a photo that Elizabeth and I took today to show and say "all that's missing is ... you. Join us!"
